Did you know that the last Lionfest helped attract more than 45,000 people to Market City?

Lion Dancing & Martial Arts Schools face the same challenges of marketing and promotion as any other business. How do we sustain our passion to teach and pass on to future generations skills that are sometimes hundreds of years old? Lionfest aims to promote the these arts by providing a way Lion Dancing & Martial Arts Schools can demonstrate their unique skills and abilities to the public.

Lionfest Marketing Support for Participating Groups

• Exposure to over 45,000 people (based on 2008 figures supplied by Market City)
• A half page profile for publication in the Official Program. On registering you School please forward your profile information and school emblem to: artguy@unwired.com.au in the suject field please put you Lionfest and your schools name.
  
• Groups may distribute promotional materials during there demonstrations. We will have volunteers on the day to assist in distribution if required
  
• 5000 Lionfest Flyers with the Festival Program and contact details for each team will be distributed on the day.
• A link to your website from the Lionfest website
• We will also be videoing the days performances and with approval can post to youtube your groups performance.

The Market City Lionfest 2010 schedule is now full.

The performance area

The performance area is 14m wide by 6m deep. It will be carpeted and taped directly onto Market City's centre court floor.
For Lion Dance teams this provides very good stability both for equipment and performers. For Martial artist we hope the area is sufficiently large for the demonstration of most traditional weapons and allows enough room for group demonstrations and most 'forms'.

Storage of Equipment

A Backstage area will be available for equipment storage on the day. If you require assistance with storageor transport of equipment please email the office: office@cyl.org.au with your details and request.
